Natural Treatment For Ringworm
Ringworm or Tinea Corporis is the major skin problem of the people all over the world. Also known as Dermatophytosis. It is fungal infection which can infect the outer layers of the scalp, skin and nails. This further can cause problems like jock itch and athlete’s foot and is actually contagious. It can generally spread through schools, gymnasiums and the locker rooms. There are some herbal home cure that can be useful to get rid of ring worms.
Pau D’arco: This herb is used to treat most of the fungal infections. Tea can be prepared to treat this ailment and it is also available in the form of tincture.
LAVENDER (Lavandula officinalis): This is a good herb to fight against ringworm. It can penetrate the skin and get the infections healed. It can reduce the inflammation and itching of the skin. Add 10 drops of lavender into one teaspoon of olive oil to apply on affected areas.
GARLIC (Allium sativum): Garlic has anti-fungal properties and paste of it can be directly applied on skin where infection is seen. It can be used in an oil form also to get the ringworm treated. A recent study has shown that garlic has potential to kill 90 percent of tinea corporis infections.
BLACK WALNUT (Juglans nigra): This is very strong anti-fungal herb and can be used to treat ringworm. Leaves of black walnut 2-3 gm can be soaked in 100 ml water and boiled to make medicated water to treat this problem.
Papaya: It is one of most useful treatment for the ringworm and the slices of this should be applied and rubbed on the affected area. Let it be placed over affected area for around fifteen minutes. This should be repeated three to four times a day.
Butea seeds: It is very good remedy to treat ringworm. Make a paste mixing it with lime juice. This paste should be applied to affected area for around fifteen minutes and then rinse with water.
Leaves of the cassia tree : Make a paste using leaves of cassia tree and apply it to the affected part. This will help to cure this problem and itching will also be relieved.
Mustard seeds: Paste of mustard seeds can be applied to ringworm affected areas. It is a very good remedy for treating ringworm infection. Do it three to four times a day to cure this infection.
Black pepper: It is quite important to use this to get relief from this ailment. It should be mixed with butter to eat to treat the disease. A mixture of ground pepper with onions and salt should be applied to affected area to make the hair grow again.
Caraway seeds : Butter milk mixed with around 4 g of caraway seeds should be taken to get relief from this disease. Use of its oil is also helpful to kill this infection.
Holy Basil: The juice of holy basil leaves is an very effective remedy for many diseases including skin infections. It is applied over the patches of ring worm on the skin.
Turmeric Powder: It is quite effective in treating the ringworm and should be applied on the patches. Make a paste using turmeric powder and water and apply it on the affected areas. Anti-fungal and antibacterial properties of turmeric will help to cure this disease.
