Natural Remedies for Jet Lag
Jet lag is a very common problem which occurs when you travel by air across a number of time zones. It is normally a minor trouble or pain and is cured with passage of time. It takes 2-3 days to re-adjust your body in the present atmosphere. Normally, jet lag is not a serious problem but for pregnant women and for women flight attendants, jet lag can lead to serious impact on their menstrual cycle and can even cause peptic ulcers. Due to difference of time zones, long time air travel leads to acid in stomach as hunger is related to our brain functioning. When brain indicates time for meal and finds nothing in the stomach, it releases acid.

Jet lag occurs because the difference between bed time and meal time comes too early or too late. It depends upon the weather and the direction in which you are traveling.
To cure jet lag, as a home remedy the easiest and the cheapest method is to do exercise in warm clothes under warm atmosphere. Drink hot tea or coffee after exercise. It helps you cure jet lag because by sweating you can throw out toxins and pesticides from your body. But don’t exhaust your body. Sweating helps you clean your body in a balanced way.
For curing jet lag, psychotherapy is also very useful. It helps in curing headache, queasiness, sleeplessness, idleness, insomnia and restlessness. To relax the brain and to keep it in a fresh and strong condition, psychotherapy is also advisable. By adjusting bed time and wake up time, you can set your body according to that atmosphere where you are going before your travel. You can change your sleep time, your meal time and your wake up time some days before embarking on long travels. If your destination is eastwards, set your routine work earlier. Start with one hour earlier than your normal routine. You can increase this time gradually. If you are going westwards you can set your body clock 1 hour later than your routine time.
