You can also apply paste of baking soda and water on the affected area. Baking soda is a very good cleansing agent and has no side effects. Witch hazel is also good for applying on the area of attack. Due to its anti-septic and astringent properties, witch hazel is good for reducing swelling and helps kill germs released by mosquitoes.
Calamine herb paste is also advised to be applied on the affected area. Calamine is a good source of zinc and iron oxide. These properties help in reducing itchiness and swelling. Tea leaves are also effective in treating swelling and inflammation. Boil tea leaves in water and keep it for some time to get cool. Clean the affected area with this water. Lemon is also helpful in reducing inflammation and in killing germs. For this, rub juicy part of lemon on the affected area.

Sandalwood, basil, onion and garlic are also helpful in reducing irritation and swelling.
