Dengue Fever Herbal Remedies
Dengue fever is a name that becomes a cause of worry for every one in tropical regions particularly in the summer season. It is a viral disease and is caused by the Aedes mosquitoes. Its agents are viral infected mosquitoes. These mosquitoes live in stagnant water. This water may be present in water coolers, jars, bottles, water reservoirs, drums, tanks etc. Fever, anxiety, pain in bones, queasiness and rashes on the skin are symptoms of dengue fever.
It is also known as Bone-breaking fever as it attacks the bones. Patients of dengue fever feel acute pain in bones particularly in the inner side of eyes, joints and forehead. Another symptom of dengue fever is loss of appetite. In its worst form, the patient suffers from continuous vomiting, bleeding from nose or mouth, restlessness and sleeplessness.
Some times, patients can go in a coma and it can lead to death also. So, everyone tries to prevent himself from this fever. Dengue is also known as DHF (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever). It is not a communicable disease. In its acute form dengue can cause bleeding condition also. It is a cureable disease and many medicines are available in the market to kill this fever within hours.These treatments are not long lasting and have some side effects also.

Belladonna herb, which is also known as Datura in India, is a beneficial plant for treating patients of dengue fever. But this herb should be used in very less quantity as it can cause dryness in mouth. Orange juice is also good for treating this ailment. According to an observation orange juice is the biggest enemy of dengue fever.
Orange juice improves digestion and increases the output of urine. It promotes antibodies in the patient and with this increase patient recovers speedily. Papaya is also the fruit of summers. Leaves of raw papaya are magnificent for the patients of dengue fever. Juice of papaya leaves is good but it should be consumed raw. You can squeeze the leaves for juice but do not cook or boil it as it will lose its strength. Vitamin C rich herbs are very useful in treating the patients of dengue fever. Aloe Vera, mushroom, chlorophyll, blue green algae, wheat grass, etc. are very valuable in this case.
Ayurveda also provides some herbs to treat this fever. Treatments like panch-tikta-ghrut-guggulu, triphala- guggulu, arogya-vardhini, saarivadi churna, sukshma triphala, maha-sudhrshan-churna etc are available for treating dengue fever. These medicines are made by herbalists to cure this disease from its very roots. Though these are slow workers but these are the medicines that have no side effects.
