Natural Cure For Pink Eye
Conjunctivitis is generally called pink eye which is caused by inflammation of membrane that covers the white part of the eyes and the lining of the inner surface of eyelids. It doesn’t cause any danger to the eyes but is very irritating to the eyes. The white portion of the eyes gives a look of pink color.
Pink eyes may be contagious due to viral or bacterial infection but allergic and chemical conjunctivitis are not contagious at all. There is nothing to feel panic about it. Itchy sensation of eyes, redness, burning sensation and watering of eyes in the inner lids that lead to sticky discharge from the eyes is the symptoms of this ailment. Breast Milk: In breast milk IgA is present in colostrum which is an immunoglobulin. It inhibits the bacteria to mucosal surfaces and limits colonization of bacteria in the eye. It is one of the best remedies to cure pinkeye and fresh milk should be used to get relief from this problem.
Chamomile: Take 1 tsp of dried chamomile flowers and 1 cup of -boiled water. Steep chamomile flowers for about 15 minutes. Let it to become cool and then use it as as eyewash. This is one of the best remedy for pink eye. You can also use its tea bag to make tea. Do this two or three times a day.
Warm water Compresses: It can help in curing pink eye because the bugs which can cause it are usually very sensitive to heat. Heat in the warm water can increase the blood flow and the debris are loosened. It is considered very safe natural remedy to cure this ailment. Apply clean cloths soaked in warm water to eyes several times a day.
Jasmine flowers: Take five to ten of these flowers to get it boiled till the water get the tint of yellow. Dip the cotton ball in the solution to clean the eye but different cotton ball should be used to clean the other eye. The soothed effectiveness will be felt in the eyes to cure pink eye. It may be used several times in a day to get relief from this problem.
Elderberry Blossom: Make tea of elderberry blossom for washing eyes. It is very effective remedy to cure conjunctivitis. This can be done several times a day.
Coriander: It relieves pain and gives soothing effect. Take two cups of boiling water and put one cup of cried coriander powder and steep it for fifteen minutes. Allow it to cool, now strain the herbs from the solution. Wash your eyes with this herbal water three times a day to get relief from this disease.
Potato: Raw potato slices can be placed on the affected eye. It gives cooling effect to the eyes and reduces inflammation. Potato paste can also be placed onto the affected eyes for about fifteen minutes. This is very effective remedy for conjunctivitis
